There are four different types of shares available in Upper Meadows’ CSA,  one of which will be right for your household’s size, appetite for vegetables–and the time you want to spend in the kitchen.

FAMILY SHARE: Our largest share, designed to meet 2/3 to 3/4 of the vegetable needs of a family of four each week. The family share is a good option for a family of 2 adults and 2 children, or a couple who eat a lot of vegetables. If you juice your vegetables, a family share may also be right for you. Cost: $595.

HALF SHARE: Like a family share but you pick up every other week, for 11 weeks in all. A half share is a great option for families who travel a lot in the summer.  Cost: $425.

INDIVIDUAL SHARE: Designed for an individual who loves vegetables, or a couple who don’t cook a lot at home but who want plenty of fresh vegetables. Picked up every week, this share gives you a smaller amount of produce than the family share, entirely of your choosing: The share is scaled so that when there are 5 or 6 items in the Family Share, the Individual shareholder selects 4, (7 or 8 items you select 5… 9 or more items you select 6).  Cost: $425.

MID-SEASON SHARE: Upper Meadows farm is having a bountiful year in 2009, and to celebrate, we are offering a limited number of mid-season shares. Our mid-season share runs 11 weeks starting the week of August 17, 2009. Members can choose either an 11-week family share (approx 2/3 of small family’s weekly veggies) for $450.00, or an 11-week individual share (approx 2/3 of veggies for 1 or 2 people) for $325.00.
