Here’s what to look forward to in this week’s Share:
- Black Seeded Simpson– A mild sweet loose leaf lettuce with beautiful light green curly leaves.
- Red Deer Tongue Lettuce
- Forellenschluss Lettuce
- Cilantro
- Yellow Baby Onions
- Red Russian Kale
- Mixed Greens (Amaranth + Lambsquarter)
- Napa Cabbage- Super crisp and mild this Chinese cabbage makes perfect coleslaw and stirfry.
- Purslane- A citrusy somewhat astringent green, purslane packs a lemony punch to any salad. Purslane contains more omega 3 fatty acids than any other vegetable.

Sales are dandy for edible weeds
Demand for dandelions and other edible weeds is growing at grocery stores. “People are getting back to their grandparents’ food,” said Bill Coleman of Coleman Family Farms, which has seen a 25% increase in edible-weed sales compared with last year. The Wall Street Journal
